Though standard wheelchairs add mobility to the physically impaired but they need to be moved to health centers for the routine checkup of the patient. Making mobility aids more functional and hi-tech, British designer Hasan David Dal has developed an electric wheelchair hailed as “The Supporter” that comes with a built-in health monitoring system to monitor the health of the user regularly and that too without the need to visit the doctor.
Integrating an autopilot system for safe and easy navigation, the electric wheelchair features a lightweight frame and leather seat to ensure optimum comfort to the user. The Supporter constantly monitors the health of the user and sends regular updates to the doctor, so he/she could go through the health records of the patient and prescribe medication accordingly.
