While Apple and Samsung are vying to manufacture big screen Smartphones, Japanese handset maker Willcom has come up with a compact and lightweight mobile phone dubbed the “Phone Strap 2” that just features an ultra-compact one-inch display. Claimed to be the world’s smallest and lightest mobile phone ever, the Phone Strap 2 is just two-inches tall and integrates a retractable antenna, while providing two hours of talk time.
About the size of a Tic Tacs box, the Phone Strap 2 will be offered by Willcom domestically for around $380 from March 21 onwards. Willcom has planned to produce only 12,000 units of the limited edition handset.
