Plugg radio turns itself on/off with a cork

Plugg DAB radio_02

Exploring physical and metaphorical interaction with electronic devices, the Skrekkogle has developed a prototype DAB radio called the “Plugg” using 3D printing, laser cutting and electronics hacks. Featuring a cork that fits nicely on top of the speaker, the radio includes a creative on/off mechanism. To turn the radio on, you need to remove the cork from the hole and if you want to turn it off, you can do it by simply pushing the cork into the hole. As simple as that!

Integrating a speaker at the base to offer quality sound, the DAB radio presents a unique pattern of physical interaction. Replacing magnetic switches with a cork, the Plugg gives a new meaning to your interaction with your devices.
