Cardigan turns into an alarm for users seeking medical assistance

Knit Alarm

Reviving traditional medical alarms, the Design Research Lab has developed a trendy cardigan hailed as “Knit Alarm” that apart from being fashionable also becomes a medical alarm for the user in need of medical assistance. Made using contemporary materials, such as conductive thread, woven right into the pullover, the fashionable cardigan triggers an alarm with a sensor located in the left cuff.

As soon as you touch the upper chest with your wrist, the knit cardigan connects to a preset mobile phone via Bluetooth to send an alert or call the doctor, while a set of LEDs lights up to confirm the activation of the alarm.
