No matter, if you don’t get a chance to fly a fighter plane, you can fulfill your aspiration by trying your hands on a simulator that will virtually put you into a cockpit to take the charge of a plane. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the James S. McDonnell Planetarium, the St. Louis Science Center has a developed a simulator that creates the same sensation as if you are flying a Super Hornet jet, steering a submarine or riding a roller coaster.
Essentially a pod with two benches and a large screen to have the feel of flying or being underwater, the simulator empowers you with the G-force and let you experience a flight over mountains, making hard turns and going over the water within the pod. The St. Louis Science Center is planning to install two more in February 2013.
