Conceived by Indian designer Ajay Shyanbhog, the “e-Textbook” is a digital textbook that other than displaying multimedia content also handle “legacy” text based books and that too on low power e-ink display. Featuring the body finished in aircraft grade aluminum, the e-device concept is not only lightweight but also functional in use. Reducing the physical interfaces to maintain a simple design, the latest digital textbook reduces the development cost by a huge margin.
Using 360-degree balanced hinges that open and stay at any angle like a laptop to allow one hand reading, the e-Textbook also ensures more casual reading positions and let the user go through it while lying on couch or stretching on a bench. Measuring 8.6mm (when open), the slim and sturdy digital textbook includes a full USB2.0 host as well.
