Foldable remote lets elderly control electronic devices with ease

Universal remote control may remove the clutter of extra devices from your coffee table but elderly people usually find it difficult to handle different electronic devices with a single remote. Providing a solution, Dutch designer Bob Spikman has come up with a creative remote, which folds to hide buttons that are not being used too frequently, making it easier to understand and use for the elderly.

Featuring a subtle link to three different icons, the foldable remote can be used to control your television, DVD and radio simultaneously. If you want to watch television, you can fold the buttons used to control the DVD and radio to avoid the confusion. Made using stretchable PCB, the foldable remote literally adds flexibility to your universal home device.
