Heart Aid: CPR, AED unit is a boon for cardiac arrest victims

At the A’Design Award and Competition, companies, designers and innovators from all design fields often come up with practical product designs. While some fail to attract sponsors’ attention, others succeed in gaining patrons for their designs. Heart Aid, conceived by Jordanian industrial designer Sahar Madanat Haddad, is one such concept that awaits speedy realization. The household CPR and AED Unit could be highly beneficial for senior citizens who are prone to cardiac arrest more than others.

The concept gadget works as a first aid device in emergency when you cannot wait for the paramedics. Heart Aid aims to provide 74% chance of survival to people hit by severe heart attack. Aside from calling 911 automatically, the device allows users to seek paramedics’ guidance through teleconferencing. It includes a defibrillator that offers defibrillation over clothing. When connected to a HD AMOLED screen, patient or his attendants may watch AED & CPR video tutorials.

Heart Aid eliminates the need of removing upper garments and waiting for someone to administer CPR to patients when they can’t even think of calling 911.
