We humans have a lust for all those shiny gadgets and we want latest technology to be in our hands always. We lure for different latest gadgets that we see and we want it anyhow. The result is people buying gadgets that they don’t really need, which results not just in wasted money, but also in a huge amount of trash added to the world. Thankfully, the evolving technology world has come to the point of modular gadgets, where the gadget you buy can be put to several uses, or easily be upgraded without the need for being cast off.
DIY player:
This player satisfies all our needs for gaming consoles, cell phones and all other latest technologies that we want. It is an awesome gadget to have. It includes various features like GPS, camera, mini speaker, alarm clock, cell phone, mini hard disk, E-book reader, and recorder. All these features make it more interesting and add onto its personality. The player has a base screen and its modules can be detached.
Google’s modular phone (Project Ara):
Ara phones are prepared by inserting modules into endos. Endos are metal endoskeletal frames, developed especially for the purpose of this project, with an idea to make them modular. Led and developed by Paul Eremenko, Project Ara by Google is an attempt to reinvent the phone. All main components are interchangeable via modules, and can be easily replaced.
Mad catz cyborg S.t.r.i.k.e. 7 gaming keyboard:
This gaming keyboard is an ultimate way to create a gaming environment around you any time you want. Seven components come with the keyboard. Touch screen control panel is to adjust the setting that you want to according to your own preferences. With the control panel, you will also need mad catz software without which you will not be able to access all its features. The typing experience is very comfortable and smooth.
E- rope:
The idea of E- rope, a modular power strip, is generated by Chul min Kang and Sung hun Lim. The concept power strip can shut down the flow of power just by twisting the particular socket section to 90 degrees. It is so because chargers, electric cables suck a ton of electric power. The idea is to save the power of the gadgets when they are not in use.
