Ideum intros Platform, Pro multi-touch tables sans pricing

Over the years, Ideum has had that reputation of stunning techies and gizmo freaks with thought-provoking products almost on a regular basis. Now this time, it definitely intends to overdo the PixelSense with the release of Platform and Pro multi-touch point surfaces.

The Platform multitouch table flaunts a big 55” crisp 1080p display with 40 touch points and runs on a dedicated GPU, hyper-threaded dual core 2.2 GHz i7 computer and 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3-1066 RAM. Moreover, there are dual 256 GB solid-state drives to ensure that all your apps load really fast. Carved out of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Platform features a giant, scratch-resistant surface which comes well-protected by a sheet of low-iron tempered glass for better clarity. Available in dozens of colors, the Platform is 1/3 times larger than the Samsung Sur40.

The other offering, i.e. the Pro touch table also features same width and touch points as in Platform. However, the presence of Quad Core i7 2600 (3.4 GHz) processor, nVidia Quadro 600 1GB graphics card, 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3-1066 RAM and Dual 500GB SATA II hard disk drives allows it to entertain several users at once. A full-fledged HP tower allows users to upgrade SSDs and make other upgrades as well. When compared to the Samsung Sur40, the Pro relieves itself of some inches for sure.

No words on pricing as of now, so stay tuned for further updates. In the meanwhile, watch this video to see these surfaces in action:
