Scandock turns your Smartphone into a scanner

Scandock

Considering our growing dependency on computers in our day-to-day lives, we cannot imagine a post-PC world even in the wildest imagination. Visualizing a post-PC world, designer Nicholas G Warnock has come up with an innovative device dubbed the “Scandock” that turns Smartphone into an avant-garde scanner to ensure quick and efficient scanning. To get high resolution scans with original colors, all you need to do is place the phone in the dock, open the app and capture the content.

The new PC scanner presents two docks, iPhone dock and the universal dock, the former supporting iPhone 5/4s/4 and iPod touch (5th gen) and the latter Android phones, together with Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note II as well as the iPhone. Integrating a sticky silicone mat at the base to keep the document flat without any software correction, the Scandock allows both the Single-Doc and Multi-Doc scan modes and a free Scandock app for iOS and Android, while the device is secured to the table with Kensington Security Slot. Featuring the base finished in for better weight distribution and durability, the scanner allows equal light distribution on the document, even on glossy materials, without any glare.
