Transformative Bluetooth speaker alters shape to your liking

Giving a twist to music accessories, London-based audio product manufacturer DBEST has come up with a creative speaker that can rotate up to 180 degrees to let the users play with their ideas and create different shapes, from a sphere to swirling snake, according to their likings and availability of the space. Hailed as “Transformative Bluetooth Hi-Fi System,” the flexible speaker system integrates an OLED display, control buttons and connectivity ports right in the middle, while the speakers units are attached to two outer sections fixed at each end.

Users can stream the music both wirelessly, through Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and with a standard 3.5 mm or USB port. Moreover, the Bluetooth speaker system becomes a standalone player with an attached microSD card slot, limited to MP3 and WMA files, which also connects to a computer to share music files with friends. The Transformative speaker also includes a built-in microphone with five physical buttons, displaying shows caller ID, battery status, track information, clock and calendar, to answer a call.

Powered by a 1,700 mAH lithium polymer battery that when charged for four hours, through mini USB, allows up to 50 hours of wired audio or 25 hours of streamed audio playback, the speaker system includes a protective travel pouch to make it portable or travel friendly. Measuring 173 mm (6.8 in) deep x 48 mm (1.9 in) high in dimensions, the $250 Transformative just weighs 0.55 kg (1.2 lb).
